How many ways can you pose a group of loggers? John F. Ford is known for his gift of creating poses that are artistically and visually interesting. Most of Ford's logging photos are from the lower Columbia River area. The original photo for this print was purchased with several others identified as from Columbia County, on the Oregon side of the river, so we are attributing it to that area. Photos of logging camps were lucrative for early photographers, as they could sell copies to the subjects and their families. -- This photo is restored and printed by Old Oregon.
