This view, recreated from an 1880s boudoir card, shows a large hop farm located somewhere near Tacoma. At that time, hop production was shifting from the East to the Pacific Northwest, and today Washington State is the larger producer of hops in this country.
Detail view 1 shows the large boxes used for harvesting hops, while detail view 2 shows some of the buildings, including what appears to be a small hops dryer on the left.
