This U. S.Reclamation Service tractor was used to haul logs to the lake at Kachess Dam, in Kittitas County, Washington. Based on the serial number and the design, this is a Model 60, built in 1913.
Similar Holt tractors were used for the Los Angeles Aqueduct project and by the British during World War I. Holt merged with C. L. Best in 1925 to form the Caterpillar Tractor Company.
