Young Victorian Woman with Cropped Hair - 1887

This striking portrait of Blanche Webster Yeomans was taken in 1887, shortly after her marriage in 1886 to Francis Carrington Yeomans. Her short cropped hair was unusual for women of her era, though it was not uncommon for young girls to wear their hair this way. The "W" monogram shown in detail 2 was for Webster, her maiden name. -- This photo is restored and printed by Old Oregon.
