This stunning photo of the Yaquina Bay Bridge comes with an added bonus - one of my favorite skies in the Old Oregon collection.
This stunning photo of the Yaquina Bay Bridge comes with an added bonus - one of my favorite skies in the Old Oregon collection. The bridge was almost new when this photo was taken, having opened in September, 1936.
One of designer Conde McCullough's best-known (and most photographed) bridges, the main span is flanked by two 350 foot steel arches. The rest of the bridge is reinforced concrete.
