This publicity photo of a vaudeville dancer was taken by Portland photographer George Davies, near the end of the "roaring twenties". On the back of the original print is writing "Please return to the Portland Theatre Studio of Dancing".
The studio was located on Salmon street, near the Portland Publix Theater, later named the Paramount and known today as the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall. It only carried the Portland Publix Theater name from 1928 to 1930.
