This photo of the 20th Century Grocery store at 611 Main Street in Oregon City was taken in August, 1919, shortly after the end of World War I. Still present in the display cabinets are loaves of Holsum Victory Bread. Victory bread was a concoction which substituted soy flour for some of the wheat flour in response to wheat rationing during the conflict.
The original photograph gives the manager's name as Henry A. Brand. He is likely the man with the apron in the center, as he would have been 30 years old when the photo was taken. Coffee appears to have been a big seller, as much of the right side holds coffee cans, and there's an industrial strength coffee grinder towards the back.
