Details
Often photographed, this unusual view of the Old Blockhouse was taken by Hazeltine as part of his stereoview series "On the Line of the O. R. & N. Company".
According to William D. Lyman, writing in 1909, it was built in 1856 by Phil Sheridan, then a young lieutenant, "as a defence against the Klickitats".
