This very detailed view of Cape Horn is reproduced from an original glass negative created by Oregon photographer Jesse A. Meiser in about 1900. The lighter band at the bottom of the bluffs show the marks higher water levels on the river have left on the rock formations. Detail view 2 brings us into the Washington shore in the distance, including a few buildings placed near the Columbia shore.
