This early 1900s view by an unknown photographer shows us both the power plant and mills, and the community of Sunset up on the hill behind them.
This early 1900s view by an unknown photographer shows us both the power plant and mills, and the community of Sunset up on the hill behind them.
Station B, later known as the Sullivan Plant, one of the oldest active hydro power plants in the U. S., is on the left. To the right are the paper mills. The line of poles behind them is for the Willamette electric trolley, and the homes of Sunset, many of them still standing, cluster near the top of the hill. See Detail View 2 for a closer look.
