A camping group awaits their meal in Indian Henry's Hunting Grounds, a meadow near the foot of Mt. Rainier. This photo was taken by Asahel Curtis, brother of Edward S. Curtis.
Asahel was very familiar with camping in this area, having been a founding member of the Mountaineers climbing club in 1906. He led the Mountaineers on climbs of Mt. Rainier, and organized a committee within the club to deal with Mt. Rainier National Park.
