Fred and his brother Oscar Kiser were very proud of this photo, as it was the first time the entire lake was captured on on photograph.
Fred and his brother Oscar Kiser were very proud of this photo, as it was the first time the entire lake was captured on on photograph.
They created this view during the Will G. Steel Excursion, and had to climb Mt. Scott, on the southeast flank of Crater Lake, with their camera equipment to get it. Mt. Scott, at 8,934 feet, is the highest point in Crater Lake National Park, and the tenth highest peak in the Oregon Cascades.
