This group of campers inspires the rest of us to load up our canvas tents and wooden stools and take to the woods. They certainly are enjoying themselves.
Restored and printed from a glass negative, we're attributing it to Harley Stevens, an amateur Oregon City photographer, as the plate was included in his collection of negatives. However, he also collected other photographers' work, so we don't know for sure. In any case, it's a great view of camping at the turn of the last century.
