This detailed photo shows the Oregon Railroad & Navigation river steamer Modoc taking on some lumber as it heads downstream on the Willamette River at Wilsonville. Detail view 1 gives a good view of the pilot house.
Detail view 2 features the newly completed railroad trestle, and also reveals the south landing for Boones Ferry. The steamer's dock area was later used as a gravel bunker, where gravel dredged from the river was stored before loading onto wagons to be carried to roads in the area.
