At first glance, this looks like Crown Point on the left, but it's actually Rowena Heights - about halfway between Hood River and The Dalles on the Columbia River Highway.
At first glance, this looks like Crown Point on the left, but it's actually Rowena Heights - about halfway between Hood River and The Dalles on the Columbia River Highway. We're looking upstream towards the dry country in this part of the Columbia River Valley.
Detail view 1 gives us a feeling for the spectacular views available to travelers when they stopped at the top of the heights.
