Horsetail Falls, located about two and a half miles east of Multnomah Falls, is one of several waterfalls that are easily viewable from the historic highway. As can be seen in detail view 2, the pool below the falls is sometimes used by waders, though it is generally quite cold.
The original photo for this image was probably taken by Fred Kiser, and then hand colored and published by Clarence Winter after he took over this part of Kiser's business in 1916.
