Details

Portland lumberman John Yeon (second from right) hosts the party of Mrs. French Vanderbilt, visiting from New York. They are standing below the then new Multnomah Falls footbridge, which had been completed in the fall of 1914. Then as now, the bridge and falls were on the short list for road trips by Portlanders hosting out of town visitors. In Related Items below, there is another view of this expedition, featuring Yeon's air-cooled Franklin automobile.
