The new bridge for the O. R. & N. Company, across the Sandy River east of Portland on the way to the Columbia Gorge. This appears to be the official ceremony on opening day, with constructions workers on top of the bridge and dignitaries below. Broughton's Bluff, now a popular rock-climbing area, appears in the background. -- This photo is restored and printed by Old Oregon.
