Details
A lone climber experiences what it's like to feel small, standing near the ice blocks of Eliot Glacier.
While all the glaciers are currently retreating on Mount Hood, Eliot Glacier, named for Thomas Lamb Eliot, remains the largest of the twelve named glaciers on the mountain.
The name of the glacier is often misspelled as "Elliot" -- it was misspelled on the original stereoview card from which this view was made.
