This small sawmill was operated by the Moehnke family from 1892 through 1918. It was located on the Willamette River near the current site of the Blue Heron lagoon.
This small sawmill was operated by the Moehnke family from 1892 through 1918. It was located on the Willamette River near the current site of the Blue Heron lagoon.
Much of the lumber used to build houses and stores in the community of Willamette, now part of West Linn, came from this mill. Most of those buildings still stand today in the Willamette National Historic District.
