In this scene on Main Street, the Catholic Church is on the left, the Providence St. Amable Academy to its right, and the Masonic Hall mostly hidden by trees on the right hand side of the street. It's recreated from a boudoir card, a type of card-mounted photo popular in the 1880s and 1890s.
Detail view 1 gives us a better view of the Academy, which opened in 1884, located between Columbia and Main at Ninth.
