Looking down towards the falls from the west side we can see a lock tender's residence, the locks, mills on both sides of the river, and Station A through the mist in the far center.
Looking down towards the falls from the west side we can see a lock tender's residence, the locks, mills on both sides of the river, and Station A through the mist in the far center. The Modoc, a sternwheeler built in 1889, works its way up the four-chambered locks.
It was one of many steamboats the plied the Willamette, and it also worked on the Yamhill River.
