Prominent in this view of paper mills on both sides of the Willamette are the huge stacks of paper pulp, colored yellow in this 1929 hand-tinted glass slide.
Prominent in this view of paper mills on both sides of the Willamette are the huge stacks of paper pulp, colored yellow in this 1929 hand-tinted glass slide. The names of the mills are clearly visible -- the Hawley Pulp and Paper Mill on the near (Oregon City) side, and the Crown Willamette Paper Company on the far (West Linn) side. A great record of industry at Willamette Falls from 90 years ago.
