Devil's Punch Bowl is a large bowl naturally carved in rock that is partially open to the Pacific Ocean. Water enters it and swirls and churns, varying with tides and weather.
Devil's Punch Bowl is a large bowl naturally carved in rock that is partially open to the Pacific Ocean. Water enters it and swirls and churns, varying with tides and weather.
The bowl has continued to erode, and now, over a century later, the bowl and its opening to the sea are a bit larger, and the rock somewhat smaller. See detail view 1 for a better look at the bowl itself.
Today the bowl is part of Devils Punch Bowl State Natural Area, a day use area with a trail to the beach and tide pools.
