This view of the lighthouse was created by Ralph Eddy from the cove at the mouth of Cape Creek, just to the south of Heceta Head. The location is now the site of Heceta Head Lighthouse State Scenic Viewpoint, run by the Oregon State Parks and Recreation Department.
The viewpoint provides sheltered picnic tables and a short trail leading to the lighthouse and the assistant keeper's house.
