Old growth trees line the road somewhere near Diamond Lake in Douglas County, southern Oregon. There's but a single lane, and no broad right-of-ways like we see today.

This view is part of a series of scenic postcards created by Frank Patterson, shortly after he moved from Hood River to the Medford area. By the mid-twenties he had transitioned from stereoviews to postcards - a business which became extremely successful. At one point he had 228 dealers for his cards.
