This picturesque view of industry looks over the steamboat pond, with its reflections of Portland Flouring Mill Company's Old Imperial Mills building, behind the power pole, and its lower river warehouse to the left. In the middle is the Woolen Mill, and to the right we see the a warehouse, used for loading and unloading on the upper river, and a grain elevator behind it.
As detail view 2 shows, we can even see a few buildings on the opposite side of the river.
