This is one of Ralph Eddy's earliest photos of the Columbia Gorge - a location where he would soon establish his postcard stand and build a career.
This is one of Ralph Eddy's earliest photos of the Columbia Gorge - a location where he would soon establish his postcard stand and build a career. He's chosen to turn his camera not on the Falls themselves, but instead to face upstream and feature the tourists in their cars arriving and leaving the area.
The scenic highway and bridge are still quite new, having been completed about seven years earlier.
