Wrensted began her photography career in Horsens, Denmark, and continued it after moving to Pocatello in 1895. For seventeen years she took portraits of Euro-Americans and Native Americans.
In 1912, the year she became an American citizen, she ended her career as a photographer. Wrensted died in Los Angeles in 1949, a month before her 90th birthday.
