If you've ever dreamed of owning an extremely detailed, century-old view of hogs hanging out on the ranch, here's your chance. (grin)
If you've ever dreamed of owning an extremely detailed, century-old view of hogs hanging out on the ranch, here's your chance. (grin) Created by Oregon photographer Jesse A. Meiser shortly after he moved to the Eureka area of California, the original is a large 11x14 inch glass plate.
Meiser believed his farming scenes were worthy of his best efforts. The farmer is checking in on an even dozen of his hogs, most bathing in the concrete wallow he's built for them. In the background are tanks, neatly-kept outbuildings, fences, and the farmer's car showing up on the left. Can anyone identify its make and year?
