This impressive brick house on Main Street in Oregon City was built by Lafayette Cartee in about 1859. Later, it was purchased by George Harding and his wife Jennie, the daughter of John Barlow and grand-daughter of Sam Barlow. They lived here from before 1880 until the 1920s.
Located at 1006 Main Street, the lot is now occupied by Oregon City Sports. George Harding, a prominent Oregon City druggist, is sitting in front of his house.
