Most of Ford's logging photos are from the lower Columbia River area. The original photo for this print was purchased with several others identified as from Columbia County, on the Oregon side of the river, so we are attributing it to that area.
Photos of logging camps were lucrative for early photographers, as they could sell copies to the subjects and their families.
