Titled simply as "An Oregon Indian" by photographer Benjamin Markham, the subject is identified as Henry Thompson in an exhibit at Oregon's High Desert Museum. Markham produced at least three postcards using different photographs of Henry Thompson - all in variations of traditional apparel.
In 1959, after his father died, and two years after Celilo Falls were flooded, Henry Thompson became Chief of the Celilo band.
