Visiting Dad at his workplace is not a new idea, as shown by this hundred-year-old photo of a wife and children visiting these two men at their mine.
Visiting Dad at his workplace is not a new idea, as shown by this hundred-year-old photo of a wife and children visiting these two men at their mine. While people dressed up more for work in those days, it's likely these are not the same clothes the men wore when they were actually working the mine.
We've located this scene in Washington state, but it may have been in Idaho. The original glass negative came from a group of photographs taken along the Washington - Idaho border. Noteworthy are the wooden rails for the ore car, which worked just as well as metal and were much less expensive to obtain.
