Details

We're looking at a well-developed campsite at Gearhart Park, known as the first planned resort community in Oregon, begun in 1890. In addition to the wooden platform for the tent, we can see a small building attached at the back, which probably included a kitchen. The two detail views acquaint us with a woman who appears to be dressed in mourning clothes, and a young man with the beginning of a smile - perhaps a sign of changing times ahead.
