This very sharp portrait of Bridal Veil Falls is recreated from an original glass negative made by Sunset Magazine photographer Howard Tibbitts.
This very sharp portrait of Bridal Veil Falls is recreated from an original glass negative made by Sunset Magazine photographer Howard Tibbitts. At first glance it appears to be wholly a work of nature, but a closer look reveals that someone has created what looks like a concrete catch-basin feeding a large water pipe - clearly enough water for some type of commercial venture.
Bridal Veil Falls can be visited today, without the water pipe, as the only falls below the Historic Columbia River Highway in the Gorge.
